Error: This activation code is not validated for the installed Pamela version.

After purchasing an activation code and entering it to activate your Pamela you receive following error:

Registration failed. Server returns error: This activation code is not validated for the installed Pamela version. Please install the purchased version and try again.

This means that the activation code does not fit the Pamela version you have installed. The activation code is tied to a particular Pamela version (Standard, Professional or Business).

Example: You have Pamela Professional installed but buy an activation code for Pamela Standard. When you enter that code you will see the above error message.

Solution: Check your purchase documentation what Pamela version you purchased. Then compare with the one you have installed to make sure they are different. Then go to the Pamela download page and download the purchased version. Install it without uninstalling the previous version. After that you will be able to register without an error.
