I'd like Pamela to play voice messages through a different sound device then the one I use in Skype.

Go to the main screen of Pamela and choose Tools -> Options -> Sound. There you will see the audio devices that Pamela can use for microphone and speaker. The setup is similar as in Skype. There is also an option to synchronise device settings with Skype so that Pamela uses the same devices you have set in Skype.

Example: You have a USB headset but would like to listen to voice messages through your PC speakers. To do this, choose your PC speaker device in Pamela as output device. Make sure you deactivate the option to synchronise with Skype because otherwise any sound device changes you make are overwritten.
